Receipt Number for NJ RIR Labour Cert?

Hi
My employer in Jersey filed for my green card processing thru RIR back in July 2002. I heard that everybody gets a Receipt number for their Labour Certification application...its been 3 years now and my attorney says he never got it because New jersey is one the of the states that does not issue a Receipt Number ..my labour certification appln. was sent to Trenton, NJ.
Does anybody know if this is true or not?
Did the people who applied for labour certifcations under the old system never get the Receipt Number for their appln.?
If not, then where is the proof that our labor cert. appln.'s were even recieved by SESA? I also havent received the 45 day letter frm the the DOL yet..
Somebody please reply back to me and let me know..my H1 is about to end soon and am getting nervous..Thanks! (Email: andy.floydian@gmail.com)

NJ does not issue a Receipt Number.
You just have to believe your lawyer/employer.
You need to sign labor application that's sent to the Labor Dept. So, thats atleast some proof.
