ok i sent my packet to immigration without a lawyer but it was in tip top shape. I am a little disappointed in the USCIS, they recieved the packet (i-130, i-485 i-765 i-8640 on the 26 of october and cashed my money orders for them on november 3, anyways went to the bank yesterday to retrieve the stubs with receipt numbers which i checked in the online system and the phone system and it isnt even in their yet according to operator and online system. I have read eveyone else posts and they reiceive their NOA promplty and in addition they cash money orders in on the 3 rd of novemeber but dont put the reciept number in their system. I think they lost my packet and have alreay set Info pass meeting on monday. 1500 dollars is not little money and they cant operate busness correctly

Relax! If you received your NOAs (and in due time the FP appointment notice) you are fine. My case status appeared online after my FP appointment about 35 days after I filed. it just depends on when the case status appears online. Having an Infopass within 30 days of having send your application *MAY* not do you any good.

Take it easy. It will take some time. The receipt #s displayed on the stubs may not be true receipt #s. Even I am waiting for the NOAs for the actual receipt #s - though the receipts #s which I found on back of the deposit slip of USCIS does not any provide any status online.

The reciept number on the stubs is not the case number where you can check in the site of the USCIS. It's totally differents numbers. I check the numbers on my stubs and compare it to my NOA's and it didnt match. You just relaxed and your NOA will be in your hand soon. Don't panic.

honestly look at your turn around time and tell me you would not be concerned if they cashed in your money on novemeber 3, and recieved on 27th of october and your name doesnt even show up in computer system for 800 number which i have called several times. Most of the operators told me not to be concerned cause sometimes they cash checks and wait to put in the file and name into computer system. althought this was the case one operator put in a research request at my serivce center (MSC) and she did seems surpirsed that my name wasnt even computer. they cash my 1400 dolllars from me and this is how they operate. i am already prepparing to put together another packet cause my wife is goign to be pissed.

The first level folks that answer your queries see the same system as the online system (so if you cant see it, they cant see it). If it is after 30 days they raise it to the next level, if they cant see it then you may have problem.
This process requires a lot of patience and USCIS has improved their customer service manifold over the last 10 years. It is ok to be concerned and follow up for your service, but I dont think you should be in freaking-out mode yet. Did you get your NOAs?
