How long after I send in my application should I expect a receipt notice so that I can track my case online? I live in Orange County California. Thanks.

You should get the receipt notice in about ten days, however it also depends on what kind of mail service you used. I used priority mail, the package was received the second day, and I received the notice on the tenth day.

As for checking your case status online, the service is very unreliable. Going by the experiences from this forum, it takes 0 days to a month to never for your receipt numbers to show up online. Sometimes you get approved, but your online case status still says that it would take 120 days to process. You might be lucky and receive prompt updates on your online status or you might not see your cases at all, so dont break a sweat on it
