receipt notice after RFE

Hi, I am not sure whether there will be a receipt notice after INS receives the RFE. Normally we get a receipt notice for any petition, but will INS also send a receipt notice for the RFE?? thanks.
 
I don't think so

I haven't got a nitice receipt. But the online status says my RFE reply has been received.
 
I haven't gotten one either - only online status was changed. But then again I got an approval within a week, the mailed notice would've been useless. I think at NCS at least it happens fairly often nowadays.
