Receipt Date is UNKNOWN

My original I-485 filing on 02/24/2006 was rejected (missing signature) and it had to be refiled again on 03/13/2006. As a result the receipt date on my I-485 says "UNKNOWN" and the notice date is 03/13/2006.

Assuming that cases are being processed based on the receipt date (RD) what does happen if the RD is "UNKNOWN". Could it cause delays in processing the case?

My biometrics appointment was scheduled not until after I contacted the customer service and my lawyer sent a letter (after 5 months of filing the case).

Since my case is outside processing times I contacted the USCIS customer service and they sent a letter to NSC. Today I received a response from NSC saying that my case hasn't been assigned to an officer yet (biometrics and NC cleared, PD current - not retrogressed country). According to this letter the receipt date is unknown.

Has anyone had the same problem?
Thanks,

Sounds like you have to keep checking and make sure they are following up. Again, this is my opinion, but not an answer to your question.

BTW... how did you contact customer service? What options. I would like to find out about my name check.

rspr, you can call the number shown on the receipt notice and there was an option to chose if your case is outside processing times or there is a problem with the case (I think). They recommended to schedule an InfoPass appointment which I did and found out that my NC has been cleared. Also, the letter from NSC stated that my NC was done.
