Receipt and Finger Print notice

i just apply my i589 with my lawyer
march 30 2016
and i dont know why i didnt get my receipt letter , but i have fingerprint notice 4/10 and did it today..

is that weird ?
and how important is the receipt letter?
should i call the uscis to get receipt letter again ?
will my lawyer get the same mail when i get any mail ?

there's no need to go through a lot of trouble to get the receipt letter. it's really just to tell you they got your case, which you already know they did because you did the fingerprint.

i think having a the receipt letter to prove he has applied for asylum in case he is out of status he also needs to apply for a work permit ,

ask your lawyer, did he put the mailing address as his address or yours?
