Hello All!

Happy New Year to all of you!

I am planning a month trip to India from US. I just want to make sure that I know the situation well.

I came to US with F1 visa. I have been on F1 for 5 years, OPT for 1 year, H1 for 1 year, and then pending Adjustment of Status for the last 2 years (no H1). I have never been out of status. I have never been in any crime.

Is there any reason I can be denied entry while trying to re-enter US using advance parole, as long as my AP is still valid and my I-485 is still pending? I just want to make sure that I am aware of all the risks. Has anyone (traveling with valid AP, pending I-485, never been out of status, or in any crime) ever been denied entry before?

Thanks so much!

Don't commit an act that makes you inadmissible. That is not likely, right?

Thanks BigJoe!

So I assume that unless I commit some violation (like staying in US when out of status, crime, etc.), it is un-likely that I will be denied entry! I have done google search and have not found
a single case yet when someone (with AP remaining valid, I-485 still pending, and no violation/crime) was denied re-entry.

Thanks!
