I am currently on an F1 visa and went to school during the Fall 2003 semester. In Dec 2003 my husband (who is a citizen) applied for my adjustment of status along with the EAD application. I have received a receipt of the same. I do not plan to continue going to school as I believe I am a I485 adjustee and will not be out of status by not going to school. Will there be any problem in doing this?

What information should I be giving my school about me not returning to school for Spring 2004?

Any information would be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

You're now an adjustee, and can do whatever you wish. Work, go to school, stay home and bake cookies if you want.

You don't need to provide any information to yoru school.

By not registering for the next semester you are essentially dropping out of school and so don't need to notify them.

Re: INformation reqd for School

The reason why i am asking is that i recd a letter from my school asking me to inform them whether i have a new I20 or not. If not then they need to inform the SEVIS about this. So is there any information i need to pass on to SEVIS?

Ohh SEVIS
well inform your school that you have an immigrant petition filled for you and you do not require an F1 status anymore and hence you don't need an I-20
