Reason for I-485 transfer to State of residence??

Hi, I am at the end of the I-485 process(original date Dec 2000). I provided INS at the Vermont Center a letter from a potential employer saying that they are willing to employ me at a certain salary and with the right Job description. The INS recording for my case says that the paper work was transferred to Charlotte, NC(where I live) and that they will schedule an interview with me.
Any experience with INS initiating transfer of paper work?
or with interviews after RFE was provided to them?
what is the purpose of the interview?
and what shall I be ready to answer????
 
asylee family base required to adjust with I-864?

hi,I\'am father &husband,with asylum statu,my wife and son also has asylum status,we all here in USA.Now adjusting to permenant resident,do I have to file I-864 affidavit of support,because I sponsoring my wife and son?
Event ,we have asylum statu?
