Reason behind sudden VSC slowdown - any ideas?

Seems pretty certain now that there has been a marked slowdown in 485 processing in last two weeks. Probable reasons may be

1. Many officers on vacation
2. CIA check hold
3. LIFE
4. Frontlog
5. Diverting resources to other type of processing

Any idea which is true. Could people talking to IIO\'s ask for the actual reason and post here for benefit of all?
 
vacation time

Many people in my office also are on vacation as last two weeks in august is off for
all school going kids and this is the best time family takes off for vacation.....
