Hi all
I went to Baltimore INS center yesterday to apply emergency AP for my wife. After receiving I spoke to the employee who processed our AP and asked about the delays in processing. She said "Its is because of the work load it is slow and things are getting better"

But another long time friend how met me at that same center said: "All workers were told to not approve much till the next years presidential elections [he added now the ball is in presidents court.... blah blah]"

Only god knows which one is true.... but I saw employees working really hard at the Baltimore Local center.

What does the presidential elections have to do with I485 processing. If anything, logically, H1B would have a much higher impact.
 
I think as soon GC is approved people start claiming unemployment benefits and due to this, unemployment claims raise which affectsthe president in elections.
 
He (my friend) was saying about economy, election, job market and unemployment with respect to Elections. May be these may play to divert people from real problem (like Iraq, osama, sadam,...) everyone knows how election manifesto and campaigns look...

In that case, halting family-based immigration would be much more effective.. Would save Medicaid/Medicare funds too.. ;)
 
But I thought it was illegal immigrants that is the major issue during election? Aren't they the one who get healthcare benefits for free?
We pay Social Security, State and Federal taxes. We pay health insurance premium. We pay car insurance. We pay all those hard-to-understand taxes on our monthly phone bill.

And they treat us like trash???? :mad:

er ... I think most people are under the impression that the administration is focusing on Iraq, osama, sadam to divert attention from the real problems (economy, job market and unemployment).

Thanks for sharting information. How elections are correlated with GC process. Approval number point of view, Our apporval rate adds nothing.

They may taken overall decision to slowdown this process.
