Reading & Understanding the confirmation number

I saw a lot of people actually read and understand what their confirmation number stands for. Like some knew which month they filled their application etc...

I was wondering if showing the entire confirmation number is allowed and if so how can i understand anything from it?

I don't really know what you mean. So basically the lower the number the better for you and I suppose yours starts with EU?

Confirmation Number: 2011155DD5DV****

I removed 4 last letters. I did not fill in the application myself. I never did all those things you guys write in the signature. I used usafis.org as a service. Was that a bad idea? Should i tell them not to fill my application and do that myself?

Vadim, are u a winner of the dv lottery? The number u have is a confirmation number, and not a case number. Have u checked your status online with that number to know you are selected? Peace! Benniit.

That's right that's the confirmation number not the case number. I did check and i was not selected. Was just wondering if that meant anything.
