This is what my lawyer told me. Now that the cap has been removed, USCIS has 40 days to issue a press release as to how they plan to process the asylee adjustments. He cited the example of the H1b Reform act that passed last year in early Nov 2004. USCIS issued a press release in december saying they plan to implement H1b reform act on May 12, 2005(today)..That law stated that it had to be implemented 90 days after the signing of the law.
So our lovely USCIS took 180 days to implement it..So even if george bush's momma came to USCIS to process something..they wont do anything.! You dont say anything to George Bushy's mamo now..
