I had got my H1B about an year ago. However, the stamp on the H1B si valid for only 1 year till my birthday in about a month. When I got the visa, the officer said I will have to visit the embassy near me again to get it stamped. None of my friends have heard or experienced the same. Is what the officer said correct? And where can I get a list of all the embassies near me? If someone can pass me a link with detailed info, it'll be highly appreciated.
