re-rentry comment

Hi all,

My wife returned after 2 weeks trip to europe and when her passport was stamped the officer wrote something like Apr next to the class indication while on my kids passports (they have US passport and my wife have a GC) he did not write anything.

any idea what it means ?

I did not mean re-reentry, just a regular entry (return to the USA) after a short trip

APR=Admitted as Permanent Resident (?)

Are you sure it wasn't LPR? It stands for legal permanent resident. That's what they stamped on my passport last year....

They could probably use it to track how long a GC holder stays out of the country.
