Hi All,
I work for company A which us New York. My friend in Chicago owns a consulting company and has agreed to file for my green card thru his company.
The question I have is if I file for my green card thru Chicago
(the labour there is much much faster) at what point of time
would I have to quit my present job and join my friend's
company(or I can continue working with company A ?)

I would really appreciate any answers and suggestions .

Continue working for A and in the mean time tell your friend (company B) to file for GC/LC...GC is all about future intent from u and your future employer (i.e. your friend)....as u said that guy is your friend..don't worry as long as he is your friend..............

It should not be a problem until you need to file I140/I485. Then you need to decide which one of them you want to proceed with.

It is a good backup plan, expensive though.
