Friends,

In my ETA750 application for alien employment certificate, the basic salary is mentioned as 72,000.00 pa.
I am working for consulting company.

My client is willing to employ me, however he is offering me salary of 65,000 pa. however this is more stable and secured job, so i want to switch to my client.

Will there be any problem for green card approval if salary offered is less.

thanks

anuup.

while nobody is sure at this point (no regulations), it is generally believed that a 10-15% salary difference should be ok. So u should be fine.

what is the prevailing wage in ur ETA 750? Hope ur new job would be atleast > prevailing wage, even if it is < ur LC wage. U can also talk to the new employer about wording the employment letter such that to include "possible" bonus.

goodluck!

here's what my lawyer said

=== from the lawyer====
Salary Note:ÊÊ

needs to be at or above the salary listed on the I-140, the prev wage must beÊconfirmed in the support letter from the employer but they are not obligated to pay you that wage until your adjustment is approved.Ê Ê
===================

my current salary is a little less than what was on LC. Hope this will help, she made that very clear it has to be "at or above your previous wage" by the way, which wasn't what I thought before.
