I 'm a US citizen. My mom has GC and returned to Iran 6 yeas ago. She had a major stroke and long recovery and rehabilitation followed by diagnosis of cancer and surgery and radiation therapy. Now she is nearly cured and stable to travel. She sponsored GC for my siblings which are approved and waiting for immigrant visa. We don't want my siblings to lose their chance to get a GC. What is going to happen if we bring mom back to USA? Is she gonna be returned? will she be allowed to get in the country and may be have GC taken away? Are my siblings going to get their chance of getting GC if my mom loses her status as LPR? Any way mom can avoid losing GC?

She may be able to return to the US by applying for a Returning Resident Visa (SB-1), with evidence of her stroke and cancer and treatments. Then if she's approved and reenters the US, your siblings can later get green cards.

The US doesn't have an embassy in Iran, so she'll have to apply for the visa in another country in the region.
