My husband has L1B and I am on L2 with EAD. Our visas expire on 16th Jan 2008. We have applied for extension and it is pending with uscis. In the mean time, we are planning to travel to India from 20th of Dec to 11th of Jan 2008. We will enter into SFO on the 12th of Jan 2008.
1)If suppose we don't get the visa status to approved and dont get our extension of I94 papers back before we leave the country, will they allow us to enter into the country on 12th Jan still for those three days if we show them our receipt notice? Or is it a good idea to travel once we get the extension back?
2)My EAD is valid till Jan 16th 08 as well. I have applied for extension but it has not yet reached me. Can I get a temporary EAD from somewhere? Or will it be fine for me to wait till I get the new card? If so from who? My L2 visa extension is in pending in USCIS.
