Re entry Permit

Hi everyone,

I have a 2 years reentry permit which expires the 17 December 2009.
I am planing to enter the US in November and travel begining of December.

Questions

-Is it OK if I stay out of the country 3 months from December to March ...and come back in March?

-In March , Can I ask for another re entry permit?

it depends on how long you travelled during the last five years. you can ask for another reentry permit. 3 options : denial , approval for one or two years.

The other question is that can i come before it expires in december..fin novembr or exemple....leave the country and come back in March...would be less than 6 months ..so even if they deny another re entry permit...i will be out of the country for les than 6 months?

Hi,

Good day!

I am a green card holder and I already filed my re-entry permit and put an expedite on it and request for the re entry permit be send to our rented apartment in NY so that my parents will send me the letter/permit. After a week I receive a letter that they accepted my fee $385 and another letter for my biometrics. then today Nov 9 2009, I took my biometrics. Now my question is can I travel outside the u.s since I already took my biometrics?
Is there another steps that I should take before I leave the u.s. ?

Once you've done the biometrics you can leave the US. You don't need to wait for approval.

You can actually leave the US before biometrics, as long as you return for the biometrics appointment.
 
Is it possible to apply for a second reentry permit before the first one expires? For instance, if mine expires in November 2010 can i apply for a new one in September 2010?
