Re-entry permit, and filing taxes from overseas

Gurus: 2 questions:

1) I want to use a reentry permit for multiple reentry into the US. Is the reentry permit valid by default for one trip or more than one trip? Or does this need to be indicated explicitly somewhere on form I-131 (application for reentry permit, http://uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/files/I-131.pdf)?

On form I-131 in Part 7 labeled "Complete only if applying for advance parole", question # 1 asks: "For how many trips do you intend to use this document? One Trip (or) More then one trip". I am not applying for advance parole, but want to use a reentry permit for multiple reentry, so do I just ignore Part 7? If so, there is nowhere else to indicate multiple reentry so could I just assume that the reentry permit by default allows multiple reentries over the period that it is valid?

2) Can anyone provide my with a recipe for filing tax returns as a resident, from abroad?

Thanks,
Sikander
