Re-entry from Canada

My mom is currently in the US. Her I-94 is stamped still Jan-25th 2006 and she is holding 10 year multiple entry visa. My question is as follows:-

If I wanted her to stay for 2 more months, from Jan-25th, can I take her to Canada (she is holding a Canadian visit visa) and bring her back, so that she could get some additional time? Is this advisable rather than applying an extention of stay, which has high probability of denial?

I would appreciate your thoughts.
