Hi all,

I am 26 yrs old, and I have a multiple entry B1/B2 visa valid for 10 years. I have used that to visit USA twice, once in July 2006(when I stayed for 6 months and left in end of december without overstaying on my I-94) and in 2007 as well when i came in JULY.I am planinng to leave US by dec end/Jan 1st week, just before my I-94(6 months)expires.

However, I want to re-enter US again in Jan . Right now,I am applying to schools here and I could be called for multiple campus interviews starting from JAN till MAY anytime. So basically, I want to be in US from JAN to April/May purely for campus interview reasons.

Will I have any problems at the Port of Entry , if I tell the officer that it is my intention to only be here for my interviews and touring campuses and probably even show him a Interview letter from the university?

Or is it advisable to leave as soon as November and try again for re-entry in JAN without citing any interview reasons at the POE?

Pls help , Any help would be highly appreciated

I would advise you to leave ASAP if you are not doing anything in the US but waiting. Leaving in Janaury only to return the same month may be thorny. Whatever you do at the POE, do not lie if asked about your purpose of visit.
Good luck!!!

I am in fact, studying for some exams, and will be finishing that only in November.

Is there any provision for people like me who want to come to US for interviews/campus tours on a B1/2 visa?Of course, since I was issued a multiple entry 10 yrs visa few years back and I had only wanted to visit US on a leisure trip then, so there is no " prospective student" Intention written on my b1/2 VISA.

If you intend to study in the U.S, what prevents you from applying for a F-1 visa in your home country?
