Re-entering on previous employer's Visa

I have H1B stamping on my passport and the H1B is associated with my previous employer; it expires in April 2004.

1. Can I use this for travel outside US and come back into US in Feb 2004 (before it expires)? I will be taking my I-797 approval from my current employer.

2. Does this hold good for H4 as well?

I would appreciate if someone clarifies this.

Same problem..

My wife have H1 Visa stamped on passport upto apl'2006. Recently she transfer her h1 to company B(processing).

do we need to re-stamp visa with new employer or she can use visa stamped on her passport with new apporal I-797 notice.

Pl help me.. she is planning to go india in feb 2005.
