Re-enetry to US - Is photocopy of I-797 with valid H1 VISA good enough ?

Hi,

I have valid US H1B Visa & I-94 and full copy of I-129 form. However, I have lost my original top portion of I-797 form. I appiled for duplicate I-797 long back, but so far i have only received I-824 recipt from USCIS not the duplicate notice. I have plans to visit India for a small trip from 08-Dec-05 to 04-Jan-06.

My question is - Can i re-enter to US without any problems with the photocopy of I-797 along with USCIS I-824 receipt (for duplicate notice application)? My all other documents are valid (VISA till Nov'06 and passport till 2015).

I need to know as soon as possible as my travel dates are next week.
