Hi,
My parent's Visitor visa got rejected in Oct. They have re-applied now. But again they asked for a 6 month visa. I read somewhere that it is beneficial to ask for 4 months visa. If anyone who was rejected the first time & got a visitor visa the second time & had asked for a 6 month visa, can share their experience with me, I would appreciate it.
Another question: If during the interview, my father is asked how long does he want to stay in US, is it ok for him to say 4-6 months or should he say exactly as is written in the application ie. 6 months? Pl. advise. Theri interview is on 17th feb.

Also, is it ok to ask for 6 months the second time if the visa has been rejected the first time?

Sorry, I do not have the info you are looking for. But my in-laws are going for interview in March. It would help if you could share the details on 1st interview and why it could have been rejected?

Thanks

Hi!!
I think it is better to ask for 4months. My mom's visa got rejected. She went for visa on feb 1 2005. She got rejected even though she asked for 3months.Both me n my sis r here. i feel thats the reason for rejection though she is having a govt job. So it is always an advantage if there are some kids back in india.

Need No Reason

My MIL's visa got rejected last month. Her daughter is here and all three sons are in India. Still they just rejected for no reason after asking couple of dumb questions. They did not even look at the documents.

I think this is the only process in the world that requires no rationale! They don't need any reason or even season...

But why nobody is ever talking about their experience in re-applying? There is not even one person who was denied a visa first time and then granted after that?!! I am surprised!!!
