I'm A Dv 2005 With The Number 2005af00007xxx From Nigeria. My Interview Is Schedule For 1st Week Of March. I Would Like To Know If It Is Necessary For Me To Bring Along To The Interview Aos, From The Person I Shall Be Staying With In The State.

How do I get the person to send me the AOS. Will he have to courier it to me? I spoke with some people and they were saying that it is not compulsory to have to have an AOS from a relative in the US.

I would also like to know what is the minimum amount of money I would be requested to show at the embassy, I am working and I dont have much in the bank, except when I resign, I will have some money.

Your sponsor doesn't have to be your relative. However, if he is not, get ready to answer questions as to who this person is to you.

He can fax you a copy and then send the original whichever way he wants, as long as you get it by the time you interview.

You should show at least $9,000 and/or affidavit of support and/or a job offer would be nice. It all depends on what kind of profession you are working in.. and how marketable your skills are.
