Both of our cases (My wife and self) got yesterday. It has been a long journey to this point. I do want to thank Mr. Khanna for this informational site along with you all for good discussions.

I have never called IIO's to check my status. Listed below are some important dates for you all. BTW, I changed my sponsoring company after six months of filing I-485.

RD: Sept. 28th, 2001
ND: Nov. 20th, 2001
FP: Jan. 12th, 2002
EAC-02-042-5xxxx

No, I didn't inform the company change to INS. However, I did transfer my H1 to the new company. I didn't use my EAD either. Hope it helps.
