When I spoke with IIO, he told me to wait for another 6 months, because they have so many back logs and they are processing June 2000 cases now. But I don\'t know if this is true or not.

What is your RD and ND? NSC is officially processing
Feb 2001 cases. If your RD is 09/2001, it could take 6
months!. Otherwise, I couldn\'t understand why IIO should
tell you that!? Doesn\'t make any sense!
Did they tell you why the backlog? or What is
preventing your case being approved.

My RD NOv 2000 and ND DEc 2000 and he didn\'t specified anything why the backlog. He didn\'t say any reason and he didn\'t know why also.

Yes my I-140 was approved for CP but all my files are with INS only, Is it going to slow the process

No. If your I140 was approved for CP, NSC sends those files to
NVC(National Visa center). The NVC sends them to your Consulate
within 1-2 months after it recieves from NSC.
SO, your file will not be in NSC. Now, since you filed AOS,
NSC will ask the NVC/Consulate to send the file back to NSC.
The time for mailing and further processing takes 4-6 months
additional time.
