Hi!
My I-485 application was approved on May 16, 2003. Details are:
EAC # 0206050XXX
RD 11/16/2001
ND 12/11/2001
FP 2/27/2002
I spoke to an IIO once on May 5, 2003. She did not wait for me to ask a question, rather, when I told her my EAC #, she asked me to confirm my address and told me that my file had been assigned to an officer on April 18, and that they prefer not to ask the officer to speed things up until 90 days have passed. She said I would hear something within the next 60-90 days. I explained that I was concerned about my FP date, and she said that the officers are alright with the old FP if the 15 month expiration date is reasonably close to the approval date.
The IIO also mentioned that assigning a case to an officer does not mean that the officer is reviewing only the one case. They get assigned cased in crates and the my case could be anywhere in the crate.
I filed an address change form with no problems. They had the updated address on their records.
