Our case has been transferred to NYC INS.
Does anyone have any idea how long it might take to get the interview notice?
Our one is a clear case. Same company. Have been working since July 2000.

Please provide some idea with the timeframe for interview?

When it comes to INS...Time frame is the last topic to talk about!

Since you asked, and in my knowledge, it may take anywhere between now and a year for your interview call. If you are lucky, you may hear within a month also, as I had noticed on this board a few times. These things are frustrating and not in our control, so better not worry about them.

However,with DHS taking over INS, we can only hope for either the best or the worst. I decide to hope for the best.

Pulse: by any chance are you a muslim?

I spoke with my lawyer yesterday and he said almost all muslim applicants are transfering to local INS center. Don't know how much valid is that comment.

Apart from what your lawyer mentioned, have you noticed any specific instances of most of the transferees being muslims or having worked in middle east or like..?

What I am made to think is do we have enough instances of clear cases of muslim applicants ( w/no complexities ) which were transferred to consider such a rationale...?

The question you asking me also my question too. I am also trying to get an idea. Can some one post a poll of RFE/ transfer cases based on religion? Muslim or non-muslim. I dont know how to post such a poll.

Anyway my lawyer is south asian and he said that he is getting direct approval of all non-muslim country's applicant (india/ bulgaria etc.) except country's listed in special registration. According to him, INS is transfering almost all his muslim applicants to local center for interview.

Now I am also skeptical like you too.
