My family and I went to SFO INS for Passport stamping. We reached there at 11:30 AM. And you won\'t believe this- the room 200B was empty- no one waiting there- for a moment I got doubt if we were at the right place. We put our approval notices in the tray. Soon after, some more people started arriving. The INS guys did not pick docs for about 1 hour. Then they started calling people at #19. We were called shortly. Fingerprints and signatures were taken. The clerk objected on the photos but said he will try with the officer. Then he came out and said we need new photos. We went down and got the photos done at the shop at the corner of Sansome and Washington st (diagonally opposite INS building). Went back up and placed the photos in the tray. The clerk called us few minutes later and gave us the stamped passports.
It is bit surprising that the stamp does not say anywhere \'USA\'.
