Random Processing In Csc

Is there any explanation why there are so many straightforward (H1 to GC) cases with FP completed months ago, are being left out in being assigned to officer in CSC. Cases are not being assigned even after four to six months of FP. IIO\'s have no clue why there is randomness in cases being assigned to officer. They make false promises, that they will look into the same. The CSC cases are being asssigned to officer and being approved in a very random basis. I have seen and collected details of many guys with I-485 ND from AUG\' 00, SEP\' 00, OCT\' 00, NOV\'00 waiting for approval, while DEC\'00 and JAN\'01 cases are getting approved. Is there any explanation for the same? Is it really routine for CSC to do this and has it happened in the past. Guys, please share your thoughts! Can we do anything about it. How about addressing this issue to the CSC Director, through Congmen or Senators office.

here are some regular reasons: the person handling a bunch of cases goes on maternity leave, and then takes months to catch up when she comes back to work. then another adjudicator gets a better job and quits. another guy then, has to share his work load! the reasons i can think of are endless! others can also contribute reasons here :)
it is a frustrating wait in this shaky market.
it is all about luck. nothing to do with FIFO procesing for 485.

And here we go.... the JIT released shows I-485 processing from ND 01/26/01.....
What happened to all the pending cases from ND 07/2000, 08/2000, 09/2000, 10/2000, 11/2000, 12/2000 !
There are hundreds of cases pending! Need to do something!

I know many cases in 01/00 / 02/00 & 03/00 still pending months after FPs !! so they have ways to go before hitting 12/00 cases and probably at least faxing them that we see approvals for Dec 2000 while cases in 99 & early 00 are still pending or we could ask AILA to enquire with the CSC appropriately or fax flood protest !? guys any other ideas ? we need to let them know any which way but !!

bring out your concerns with the local congressman\'s office if you at a point of frustration- the more request the INS gets, the more irritated they will become and will try to work on FIFO basis.

HariA,
well I guess you meant that they may try continuing to work last in First out if I understand you, but on what basis and against their own rules and randomly ????
Adjudication dept (hopefully there are many in there !!) must be having a supervisor and a few adj officers within, it is not a single person or a couple of cheesed of people who can emabark on their whims and fancies ! further at TSC they had a similar issue which apparently got corrected when they did a fax flood protest! when adj appln started getting approved in First-in-first-out (FIFO) order which is how it should be in the first place !
I agree although that may not always be the best route out but the order got to be restored any which way in my opinion.

If they start processing the new 245i apps first, we are SUNK !!

It will take 485s forever to get approved !!

I agree with Dimpu, 245 based applications can easily send the I485 processing times back to years (remember that time less than one year ago?).

Faxed requests seem the way to go. I will start working on my lawyer (note: my ND is 12/00).

CSC has always been processing cases out of order ever since we
started tracking their progress. Other than those funny (but
true) reasons mentioned by an why cases are adjudicated randomly,
I have always wondered whether the reason could also be due to
their file sorting system.

They most likely have no good file cabinets to separate out cases
according to RD/ND. For examples, ND 01/01 cases get lumped into
ND 12/00 cases, ND 12/00 into ND 11/00 cases, etc. That\'s why we
see approved NDs spread all over the map.

Do you think that there is need for worry ND 12/00 cases not approved yet ??

CSC has always been processing cases out of order.
I find out from one attony (used work at INS). The reasons is cases are adjudicated by lower level officer first, if they feel everything looks good, then you will got your GC,otherwise, your case will gothough higher level for review, that why your case is late.

So, we all realise how CSC is adjudicating appln out of order and to list our options ; by this i mean just asking them to adj in order and this is not to fan anybody\'s particular case (though everybody\'s case is important). Please examine each of these options for their merit and if any other practical options are there we need to present here for everybody to see :

 i) CSC fax enquiry thru company lawyer

ii) Sending a self enquiry (any std format ??), if you have a
busy(read non-proactive) lawyer as many of us do !

iii) AILA representation to correct this (any good AILA representative in CA whom to contact ph#/fax nos ??)

iv) Fax flood protest to Supervisor , asst commissioner(director?) and CSC Comissioner (or Director) with every passing week if the situation does not improve.

 so what say you ?

Hi Dimpu,

I am in the same boat ND 12/00. It seems to me everything goes by FP dates, and my FP date is pretty late 03/21/01.

When is your FP date?
