I am part of a group called Unite Families whose aim is to Unite families of LPRs or U.S Citizens due to Immigration Backlogs. We are planning to hold a rally in front of the U.S Capitol to oppose any bills that ONLY concern illegal aliens.

Our concern is that if a new law is passed, any legal immigrants waiting for a green card such as Asylees, Refugees,H-1 may have to wait more due to USCIS backlogs. If any law is passed, there also should be a measure that eliminates or at least the processing time of an application should be "acceptable".

Also, spouses of LPRS such as mine cannot apply for a GC until they wait for their visa to come up which is almost 4 years. However spouses of temporary workers will be allowed to migrate to United States and start any legalization process.

There is no cost to join this rally ofcourse, If you intend to support this rally, it is for a good cause.

We are currently working with the DC police to get a permit and we will let you know the date/time of the rally.

Hi wantmygcnow,

Yes, please do tell us! We need to have our voices heard! It doesn't make sense to have families seperated like this! 4-5 years is too long!!!!!

is this going to be only in DC area? I live in California, i would travel anywhere on the west Coast
