Rahul, can USCIS hold my case based on the fact that IBIS check is pending?
There are three kinds of check. My FP and name check are done. IBIS is the only one I don't have access to. Can they use this BS?

Of course they can. All security checks have to be cleared prior to Oath. The worst part is you cant even know for sure if IBIS is completed or not!!

If you are done with diplomacy and your congressman has reached a dead end, start preparing to file for a WOM. If you attended attorney Rajiv Khanna's conf call you would have heard for yourself how often the INS settles these cases as soon as they get a legal notice

Was he talking about the lawsuit notice or the intent to sue letter?

Publicus,

Rajiv had the call almost extempore. We had 30 mins notice. WOM is not something you want to file on your own so I have no idea what it looks like. You want to get this right as you want to name CIS,FBI,DHS as defendants . Not adding one may delay your case. Get a good lawyer

Rahul, I heard that the court is more sympathetic to pre se plaintiffs.

Rahul...

I was unable to attend the conference call with Rajiv, actually I didn't see any notice as to the day or time it was going to take place. However, I'm very much interested in knowing what information was provided by Rajiv during the same. Do you know if there is a summary of what he mentioned posted somewhere in the site? Or perhaps you could post a summary for everyone's benefit? Thanks in advance.

Harish,
You must contact monica , the admin to see if she has a transcript. He answered many questions in too many areas and I cant summarize or remember all of them

Unless you want to spend a lot of time and energy doing stuff yourself, I suggest you get an attorney. I dont know if courts are more sympathetic to self represented plaintiffs. If you can afford it get a good lawyer, if not get a mediocre one atleast!!
