Hello guys,

I definitely need your advice, guidance, and wisdom.

I went to the DO today and tried to speak to my interviewer as Rahul did in the past, but unfortunately I was faced with an extreme opposition by an officer who kept talking to me like a machine and reminding me that I shouldn’t be there since my interview date was last Feb 2 (she forgot that I’ve been waiting for over 800 DAYS for my interview). I even begged her, and explained to her that a family emergency is involved, but without any success. In the end, she was at least able to give me an update on my case. I was told that the only thing pending is a G325B background check that the military needs to send back. This is amazing because I included a signed and stamped G325B with my file. So I handwrote a letter to the Naturalization supervisor and included a copy of the G325B (I usually take all my documents with me when I visit DO, I even take a one day food ration in case I get arrested…just kidding) and I also included a copy of my DD214 showing my Honorable discharge.

The officer at the window informed me that the G325B was initiated the day after my interview (Feb 3) which is the only thing holding my file so far. When they receive an answer from the military, they will clear up an oath date for me. That’s what she said.

Rahul, Anahit, ibm, hm, all the others, I need your help. I need your brains. I am trying to find out a way to check and impel the military to complete my G325b process. The same way you guys did with the FBI. I am doing extensive research on my part, but adding your expertise and knowledge will definitely enhance the results. Please help me.

FYI, on the G325b we can legibly read the following:

(ALL DEFENSE CHECKS)
UNITED STATES ARMY INVESTIGATIVE RECORDS REPOSITORY
ATTN: ICIRR-A
FOR MEADE, MARYLAND 20755
ATTENTION: LIAISON OFFICE
IMMIGRATION AND NATURALIZATION SERVICE

What would you do if you were me?

Thank you.

Guys, I found this on USCIS website:

(a) Use of Forms G-325, G-325A, G-325B, and G-325C.

An applicant or petitioner shall be required to submit Form G-325, G-325A, or G-325C, as appropriate, when called for by the instructions for completion of an application or petition, or the relating regulations or OI's.

Form G-325 shall be used to check the records of the FBI Identification Division or Records Branch, or both; Form G-325A to check the records of the CIA, or a consul (in adjustment of status cases), or both, in addition to FBI checks, and G-325B to check records of other agencies. In a naturalization case the field office shall complete sheet 3 of Form G-325A if a check of CIA records is desired, and Form G-325B if a check of the records of any other agency (except the FBI) is desired. Form G-325C shall be used for overseas refugee applicants as indicated in paragraph (e) of this OI. (Revised)

If a check of agency records is deemed appropriate in connection with an application or petition in which such check is not normally made, the field office shall complete Form G-325, G-325A, or G-325B, as appropriate, and note the signature box "Prepared by INS."

A check shall be requested only if the applicant or petitioner (or a child beneficiary in a naturalization case) is 14 years of age or older. A FBI identification check shall not be requested for any such person who is more than 79 years of age.

If the response to a previous check of the FBI Identification Division or Records Branch is less than 15 months old at the time adjudication of any application or petition is made, or at the time of final hearing on a naturalization petition, an up-to-date check shall not be made unless there is reason to believe that additional pertinent information is available.

Publicus; Is it possible to check with US Army Investigative Record Repositry in Maryland, if your G325B has been cleared or not?
This is just a guess. I do not have enough information on that.
Good luck.

I did call them this morning. The department is based at Fort Meade, next to the NSA. You know when you deal with USCIS and then you deal with another agency that answers you like you are a human being, you feel so different. It's like: WOW...I got an answer.

A gentlelady answered the phone and faxed me my G-325B finding, which was done in Oct 2003. But she informed me that it expires every 15 months. Needless to say I mailed it to USCIS today.

Pls Help!!!

Hi Publicus,

I am a new user and am in a similar situation. Could you please give me the number for US Army Investigative Record Repositry in Maryland? I would like to find out the status of my G-325B. My naturalization case has been pending for more than 2 years because my G-325B has not been cleared yet.

Your help would be greatly appreciated. :)
