quitting job, out of status?

Hello:

I have an O1 visa and I'm planning to quit my job. My I-94 is valid until January 2006.

Can I stay in USA after quitting my job looking for another job or simply living in USA for a while?

Can I quit my job and start the process of obtaining a no sponsored EB1 green card?
