I am new to this forum and would be thankful if someone can help me with my questions:
My brother works in the US on an H-1 visa and plans to apply for the PR, through Buffalo very soon. However, later this year, he will quit his job and go back to India due to some personal problem.
He has 2 options -
1) He informs the CIC that he is going back to India and gives a forwarding address in the US. Will his file be transferred to India, even though he had the job when he applied ?
2) He does NOT inform the CIC that he is going back and simply gives a forwarding address in the US. After initial assessment, if they ask for current paystubs/H1 status proof, he will not be able to produce paystubs at that point since he won't have the job. What can happen to his case then ? Can he just show them a letter that he had earlier quit his job and gone back to India ?
Which option is better while keeping the file with Buffalo ?
Can anyone please help me ?
Thank you.
