Quitting job and H1

undefinedI am in my 4th year working under an H1 visa. However, I am thinking of quitting my job. If I am unable to find another workplace in the US, how long can I stay in the US legally? Could I leave and come back under a tourist visa?

As per the rule, you need to leave immideately. USCIS allows some reasonable time to wind-up your things.
You can come back on tourist visa if you want, but you will not be able to work.
