Hi all,

I have a quick question regarding petition my father filed for me in dec 2001. My father was on his green card when he filed my I-130 & after 2 yrs later i received letter of approval...But my father past away in 2005...Now someone told me petition he filed is null void & someone told me i have to file I-864 along with 485, when i get notify of avilability of visa is current something about law by pass govt in 2002 regarding family union act.... I am on h1

please help

to my knowledge, if the petitioner is deceased, the petition is void (unless it's a self-petitioning spouse of a US citizen who has been married for more than 2 years at the time of the petitioner's death). Sorry.
