My Lawyer claims to have sent my 485 application on Dec 06 2001.
I checked with my bank and learned that i that my checks were encashed by the INS on 02 JAN 2002. Does that mean that my Application has been received by the INS and notification has been sent to the Lawyer. My Lawyer\'s sec still maintains that she has not received anything back from the INS. Should i trust her ? If not what else can i do to know my EAC#

Get the check ....

Get the check from your bank it should have your case number. Dial the service center number after office hours if you just want to avoid trying to dial for long time. Punch the case number and you will know exactly when the receipt was mailed out to you or your lawyer.
