Quick question about when to file

Hi

My wife got her GC in Mar-04 so she is eligible to apply for N-400 anytime now based on the 90 days before 5 year period rule. But do we need to exclude the days we were out of country. I mean if we were out of country all together for 60 days, can I file now (90 days before) or I have to wait 2 more months and file only 30 days before the 5 year.

Also as of Jan 22nd, we need to send the application to Lock center. Should I wait till 22nd or try to rush it now. Any suggestion on this.

If it has not break continues residency, you should not worry about it and file 90 days before 5 years.
 
She can apply up to 90 days before 5 years of continuous residency as LPR. 60 days outside country does not break continuous residency.

Applying now or after Jan 22 won't make much of a difference since applications are being forwarded to lock box anyways.
