questions regarding eligibility

Hi,
I have 5 plus years of experience as a database analyst and offered a job for TN . but had a recent 1 year unemployment. I have couple of questions that I am concerned about.

(1) does database analyst qualify for TN Status(I mean does the POE officers consider it similar to Computer Systems Analyst ?
(2) does this recent unemployment cause any negative impact while obtaining the TN status ?

1. maybe. look at the definition that CBP will use to determine if your job is CSA.
2. Absolutely not. CBP don't care about the hiring process or what your sponsor saw in you, They are merely interested in the job description and your education (not even your experience).
