Questions re EAD+AP

My wife and I applied for EAD renewal (e-filing) at VSC on 01/05/04 (ND: 01/06/04). I got my EAD (AD: 04/29/04). My wife still hasn't received hers. How long should she wait before calling for a case status? (Current dates are 02/02/04)

Our APs are valid until 10/27/04, but considering the delays, I am thinking of applying for another one next week. Is there an equivalent of iEAD for AP? i.e., if 90 days pass without any decision, can I go to Newark and get the AP?

You could call the UCIS and check on the status if you havent received the AP in 90 days i guess.

There is no > 90 day IAP , if you need an emergency AP then you can go down to the Newark service center and they might give you something like an emergency AP, but i have heard people say that you need to have a real emergency and something to prove it (like doctors certificate that some one is seriously ill or may be if some one has passed). Again it is under the discretion of the officer at Newark.

VSC has resumed normal speed atleast for now... i have seen cases getting approved in 2 months. There is nothing wrong in applying now though.

Does anyone know if the new AP will be valid from the date my current one expires or from the date of approval?
