Questions on N400 Application

Hello Gurus,

Two questions for you:

1. Are we allowed to wear eye glasses in the photos we have to submit with our citizenship application? The M-76 Guide to Naturalization states: "Do not wear eyeglasses or earrings for the photo." However, the M-603 new photograph flyer makes no such statement.

2. The M-76 Guide to Naturalization states:

"If you answer “Yes” to any of questions 1 through 15 in Part 7, send:
- A written explanation on a separate sheet of paper.

If you answer “No” to any of questions 1 through 5 in Part 8, send:
- A written explanation on a separate sheet of paper.."

Part 7 on the N400 pertains to time spent outside the US and Part 8 pertains to marital history, to which there are no 'Yes' or 'No' answers. Can anyone explain this? Is the guide referring to an older version of the N400?

i think it is some mistakes in the guide. i believe the yes / no questions are more related with the criminal questions.. etc
