Questions on EAD pl help!!

Hi Guys,

Firstly, I really appreciate for the info. you provide whenever a question arise.

I recently got my EAD approved from Texas service(RD - 01/14/03, AD - 04/02/03). I didn't receive the EAD card yet.
Can anybody tell how long does it take to get the Card?

I got couple of other questions relating EAD.
1) How EAD is different from H1-B?
2) I understand that with EAD you can do multiple jobs without having multiple H1's but if we are out of job what will happen to the Green Card?
What status we hold if we are out of job?
Advantages of having an EAD?

Keep checking online status. Generally you should get the card in 10 days from the mailing date (different from approval date) for TSC
1. If used (i.e. file I9) you have to use AP to travel. You can renew it yourself. No limitations on how many you get as long as 485 is pending.

2. Yes can hold multiple jobs. If you lose the job, find another similar job and exercise AC21 (Read this and other related forums before you ask another Q)

If you are on EAD- you are status adjustee (adjustment of status to permanent residency)

Could you tell us whether you are a concurrent filer of I-140/I-485 Or whether your I-140 has been approved earlier.

Your EB category and ND for I140/I485.
