Questions for naturalization in San Francisco

Well it is soon time for me to enter the naturalization process after holding a GC for more than 2 and half years (maried to an American). I am quite new in this thread.

Here are my questions:
-How many months should we expect from submission of N400 form to oath?
-Is it true that we cannot leave the country during the entire process?

If you don't mind, maybe we can continue on the old thread so more SF folks can track the timeline together. And you should find answer to your first question in this thread.

About your 2nd question - You are still a PR before the oath ceremony, so you can travel but you have to understand the 180 days rule, means you cannot leave more than 6 months. And it's important that someone will get the mail for you and you can return to the country for your appointment.
You MUST inform the officer about your trip(s) at your interview (if you travel between filing and interview) and the officer at the oath (if you travel between interview and oath). As long as it does not violate the 180 days rule, it will be fine.
