Hello all, this post is in regards to anyone who is a citizen of India, but grew up for few years in the Gulf. I have lived in Qatar since I was 3 all the way to 17, thats when I came to the US for my undergrad. I was issued my F1 visa from Qatar too! By religion I am a Jain. I am currently on H1b. My questions:
1) I have a US degree, I have always been in status, and I work one of the top 3 telecom company (fortune 500) taking all these point will I have any problem if I were to go to Canada or Mexico for H1B visa? My whole concern is that I have Qatar related stamps in my passport, can this cause a problem?
2) Few months back I got a new Indian passport issued from Houtson, Texas and this passport does not have any stamps relating to Qatar and also does not have the F1-Visa stamp. Incase I do go one of the consulates, can I just present my new passport instead of the old one? Can this be taken in any negative way causing the consular officier to be suspicious!
I would appreciate if I could get some feedback from anyone in my situation and would appreciate if anyone could share their experence.
Thanks for reading this thread!!
