Here is my situation :
1. I have visa stamp valid till Nov'1st. This visa is from my previous employer. My I-94 is also valid till Nov'1st which I had got during previous visit to India.
2. My current I-797 is valid till March 2007. I have got my I-140 approved. I will get my 3 yr H1 extension by Sept. end.
My questions are :
1. Based on my I-140 what will be start date on my new H1.
Will it be from March 2007 to March 2010 or from Oct 2006 to Oct 2009 ?
2. Lets say my newest H1 will be from March 2007 to March 2010. Will consulate give me stamp till March 2007 based on my current H1 ?
Or Will they give stamp valid till March 2010 ?
3. My extension is not filed yet. Do I need my extension approved before applying for canada visa ?
4. Can I get an appointment in US consulate in Canada before my H1 extension is approved ?
