questions about the AOS

Hi all,

Just some questions about the AOS process

1. Do I need to translate my birth certificate by the official translator and/or with seal? Can I just ask someone that is fluent in both Eng and my language to do that?

2. Does Advance Parole and EAD fees include in the AOS fee?

1. Yes you need to get it translated by approved translator. If you do google and search under translator under whatever state you are in, you should be able to find some information.

2. EAD and advance parole include in the $100X fee that you will send later to the Chicago office, not the $375

1) it can be anybody who knows both languages. It's been covered on this forum many times. The translation itself needs to be certified, not the translator.
